The short version: your photo is sent to our server to find a matching poem, then discarded immediately. It is never stored. We do not collect personal data.
Ibycus is an independent app that matches your photos with classical poetry. It is developed and maintained by a single developer. You can reach us at [email protected].
We collect no personal data. Specifically:
Ibycus includes an optional feedback feature: you can like or dislike a poem match. If you choose to send feedback, a brief anonymous signal (the reaction type and the matched poem's metadata) is sent to the developer to help improve matching quality. No personal information is included.
Optionally, you may also choose to attach the photo you used for matching. This only happens if you explicitly agree when prompted — the app asks once before sending any photo. The photo is seen only by the developer and is never shared with third parties.
Feedback sending is on by default but can be disabled at any time in Settings.
The app is distributed through Google Play. Google Play may collect usage and device data under their own privacy policy, which is separate from this one.
Ibycus requests the following device permissions:
No other permissions are requested.
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you are in full control. You can delete individual history entries from within the app at any time. Uninstalling the app removes all stored data.
Ibycus does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. The app contains no user accounts, no data submission, and no network communication involving personal data.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Since we collect no data, changes are unlikely to affect you in any meaningful way.
